0-4-0T moved from Western PA to Age of Steam
Author: RuleG

An O-4-0T built in 1897 by Porter for for Carnegie Steel which later worked for US Steel was moved from a riverfront park in Sewickley, PA to the Age of Steam Roundhouse. Also included in the move was a Pittsburgh & Lake Erie caboose. The locomotive and the caboose were previously displayed at Station Square in Pittsburgh.

Anyone have any pictures of this locomotive? I don't subscribe to trains so I can't see the article.

I thought that non-subscribers could access links to Trains.com posted on here. I would have posted the Tribune-Review article, but it referred to "Pennsylvania & Lake Erie" and it stated the locomotive was built in Pittsburgh whereas the Trains.com article implied it was built in an HK Porter plant in another location.

Nope. I just get a subscriber only content notice with a login request.

Thanks. Ugly little bastard, very utilitarian. That's a huge saddle tank. Will make a nice yard goat if they restore it to operation.

Trains keeps sending me email and every time I try to access an article I get the "subscribers only" message. Sort of irritating, as I am a subscriber to Classic Trains. If you are reading this Jim Wrinn, why do you send the Trains email to non-subscribers?

Thank you for your reply. I will not post links to Trains.com Newswire articles any more.
