Night Photo Shoot: with N&W 1218-Friday, January 24th; 9PM to 12AM

$25 per person, payable at event; release required; professionally lit






Railfan Tours: Saturday, January 25th $5 per person, per tour

11 AM Roanoke Terminal/ Shaffer’s Crossing

2 PM NS East End Locomotive Shops and Freight Car America



Transportation from Link Museum to tour sites is included.

Appropriate clothing and shoes required (no high heels, flip flops or sandals)

Hard hats required to be furnished by Link Museum. Some photo restrictions apply.

Won't make this event but I sure wanted to tell anybody who hasn't been there yet that it is one of the best little museums in the world on ANY subject, not just trains. Be sure you get there sometime.......

In 2007 I had the chance to go with my beau to the CSRR museum and see the OWL exhibit, presentation and afterwards talk with Thomas Garver. My BF also purchased a personally signed copy of "The Last Steam Railroad in America" which is in my lap now as I write. What a treat that was.

Thank you for the post. My traveling companion and I won't be able to make this, and I am very sad-it is on my list, and fortunately not far away from friends and family.

I hope the festivities are wonderful!
