9. Birmingham, AL 9/24/88. Of all the roster shots I made of the 611, this is my favorite as it shows the true size of the boiler and engine, not to mention the beautiful streamlining. What a babe!

Actually the entire weekend around the Saluda trip, they had a pair of GP38s right behind the 611. Up through the loops into Asheville, etc.

Norfolk was two days earlier.

I didn't point out that you misspelled Wabun and Lula, in part because the two misspellings cancel each other out ;)
