Steam & Excursion > 765 Trick Smoke PuffingDate: 09/07/14 14:04 765 Trick Smoke Puffing Author: Lakota-rail Riding and chasing the NKP 765 this morning along the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad in Ohio caught the 765 puffing some smoke rings...just like the one's your Grandpa used to do with his cigar. When noticed there were five such rings formed from the steam exhaust.
Also, Rich Melvin doing the honors on the morning excursion run. This is him at the throttle just as we returned from our trip. This is him at the throttle just > as we returned from our trip. 765 seems to make a lot of smoke rings with the reverser hooked up and a 1/4 to 1/2 throttle and with a decent sized train. And sometimes when just the right condition with all of the above and working just right she will make them almost continuously.
