Author: wmbrakeman

WMSRR had Steel Wheel festival , had many out of state visitors , and plenty of things happening at the Station and Shop and at Allegany County Museum block from WM Station and not far from there CSX had a lot of Movement happening Yesterday
I took the shop Tour so had a Up Close look at C&O 1309 being rebuilt , I hope that WMSRR puts out the Info Early enough about the maiden run of 1309 , I think it will bring Rail Fans and Non to track side to see her make this Run ,
The Staff at WMSRR is truly dedicated to RR and also Cumberland Md area , This RailRoad is bring a lot of Tourism dollars to that end of Maryland that is usually forgotten about by Political Leaders in Annapolis
Here are some of my Photos I hope you enjoy and will Make that trip to Cumberland Md when 1309 is Fired Up and Running , i am not connected to WMSRR i grew up there and now live in Baltimore But if you like to Help on rebuild visit there site WMSRR
thanks

Interestingly, the red truck is a Mercury which is of Canadian Ford manufacture.

Thank you for taking the time to put together that terrific photo essay. Some great photo journalism and some really fine night shots. I really like that first night shot of 126 and 734. Your efforts are appreciated.

One very important question...did anyone happen to ask if the engine will be lettered C&O or relettered for Western Maryland? This is an important question, so don't anybody just say, "who cares".
