Flexible staybolt sleeve welding continued as well as superheater bundle work. Rework continued on the Walschaert gear bearing surfaces. Brake pin hardware fabrication progresses together with parts cleaning and painting. New sight glasses were installed in the lubricators and painting completed. The fireman's side lubricator was bolted in place. Details on this work at the link:

As Dennis mentioned in the thread below, the 2926 received the Trains preservation award which came with $10,000 to be used to procure air brake components to be installed in a refurbished brake stand.

Photos include lubricator work, flexible staybolt sleeve welding, superheater bundle assembly, machining, firebox door view port repair, a short video and worker pictures. Oh, a couple of cat photos too.

This coming weekend (Nov. 15-16) the 2926 group will be represented at the Rails Along the Rio Grande 2014 model railroad show. If any are in the Albuquerque area, visit first the 2926 worksite and then go out to the event at the National Guard Armory. The link with information and directions is below.
