An early (1951) episode of "The Adventures of Superman" titled "Ghost Wolf" has a sequence of an intrepid trio of Daily Planet reporters (Lois Lane, Jimmy Olson and Clark Kent) riding in the caboose of a logging train pulled by what appeared to be a 2-6-6-2 (?). There is about 12 seconds of the logging engine on a trestle. Seen on our local Pittsburgh, PA "retro-tv" channel. Enjoy! Glad you enjoyed the program. I enjoy your posts of vintage rolling stock. ProAmtrak: Episode was not awful. The premise was that a were-wolf was scaring away the lumberjacks that cut the pulpwood used to make newsprint for the Daily Planet. Believe an SP GS Daylight loco is shown. Is it in the San Fernando Valley Los Angeles CA.
