1. Milwaukee 261. I was standing near an overhead track and a gentleman said the plank was not terribly safe. If you notice any shake in the picture, it is because my knees were shaking. Can you guess the day?

2. Milwaukee 261 with a snow plow. I think it was taken around 2/118/96

3. Tominde wrote "Was that a return trip and 261 pulled the outboud? There were a series of runbys at Tobby using both engines." That solved a mystery; why are there pictures of CP2317 and Milwaukee 261 in the same box. This indeed is one of the outbound runbys. Again in February 1996.

Image one is certainly impressive. From the plume of smoke to the fall colors and the way the curve brings the train into view, this is a beautiful image.

alco636, refarkas, Cajon92, YG, and Tominde Thank you for your kind words.

I just learned that the first shot was taken standing on the abandoned Erie Railroad bridge near Drinker Road, close to Scranton, PA. on 10/15/95.

Agreed....very nice!!! Image 1 must be from late September, 1995, standing on the abandoned Erie Jessuup Branch Trestle over Roaring Brook and the former DL&W main. Off of Drinker St. in Dunmore, PA, a 3/4 mille walk along the tracks from my childhood home.

Thank you for the confirmation of place and time. Haruo
This one was also taken in mid-February, 1996.
