Author: tehachap

Trying to get some times set up for transportation to Fullerton. Does anyone know what time 3751 is scheduled to arrive in Fullerton?

Thanks,
Carol (aka Tehachap)

I think they usually run over Friday night late, after the commute traffic has died down.

I think she is referring to the arrival date of the 3751 and not the actual event date.

czuleget ---
The thread title is just plain wrong.
The event is May 2 and 3 -- NOT
May 1-2.  Please note her use of the
dashes between the date and her question.
I am disappointed she did not change the
thread title.  Oh, well.....

In any czase, this event should be a lot of fun.
So glad the 3751 will be there -- and under steam.

In past years, they usually run past Fullerton on the Friday in order to wye the train, heading towards San Diego at the junction.  They take the 7 mile trip to Orange (via Anaheim), and then back the train on the 5-mile Olive Subdivision to Atwood (on the San Bernardino mainline) and head back west.  This is to get the engine pointing west for the return on Sunday afternoon.  When I photographed the train doing this in 2008, I recall it was late morning as the train backed across the Santa Ana River bridge in Orange, on the first Friday in May of that year.
