Steam & Excursion > Shop tour, 6-27-15Date: 06/29/15 13:07 Shop tour, 6-27-15 Author: Grande-Fan Over the weekend a histrorical group I am in, went on a tour of the Union Paicific Steam Shops in Cheyenne, WY.
The tour went well. Here are the UP 844, 3985 and the 4014. Please refrain from nasty comments. Thank you, Nathan Z Colorado Springs, CO Date: 06/29/15 13:15 Re: Shop tour, 6-27-15 Author: callum_out I was wondering why our tour didn't get to the stack side of the 844 then I noticed your tour was
on a Saturday and not a normal work day. How come your pictures look just like mine from a month ago? Out Date: 06/29/15 13:54 Re: Shop tour, 6-27-15 Author: co614 Perhaps just for both the novelty of it and for a refreshing change we mutually agree to limit any comments to positive statements??? Just this once let's practice " mothers rule"....if you can't say something nice......don't say anything !!!
Thanks, Ross Rowland Date: 06/29/15 13:57 Re: Shop tour, 6-27-15 Author: Bob3985 Behind the 4014 it appears that is the "Art Lockman" tool car. Walthers is coming out with a model of that car sans the dent in the one door that Art put in it driving the fork lift loading the car for one of our trips. I may modify my model to reflect that.

Date: 06/29/15 15:20 Re: Shop tour, 6-27-15 Author: Grande-Fan The tour was lead by Ed Dickens also some members of our group "Jim Erenberger, Bob F" along with Mary Nystrom, talked about their time with the UP and the steam program.
The steam crew works 5 days a week, Saturday was our tour. Nathan Z. Colorado Springs, CO Date: 06/29/15 15:50 Re: Shop tour, 6-27-15 Author: HotWater OK, considering what has happened to the "UP Steam Program" since January 2011, just how are any of us supposed to post ANYTHING positive?

They could use a good sheet metal guy.

Look a little closer. The catch basin is built-in. |
