If One 4-8-4 Northern Is Not Enough You Can Always Try Two!

The art of double heading big steam power is well captured in this photo of Union Pacific #803 and her sister engine powering UP's Train #27 during the 1940's.  These 2 800-Class engines make simple work of departing their passenger station at Cheyenne, Wyoming with train in tow.

Can you imagine the sound they made on that cold wintry day?

Doing it right.  The road engine is working hard until it starts to max out then the helper does its thing.
