Steam & Excursion > NKP 765 excursion Bethlehem to Pittston

Here is the first set of photos of Sunday's excursion between Bethlehem/Allentown and Pittston, PA. The first two shots are at CP Burn in Allentown about 15 minutes after departure. Here the train pulled forward on the Lehigh Valley - Reading connector and then backed up and proceeded across the Lehigh River to the ex-CNJ yard in Allentown and then pulled forward on CNJ towards Jim Thorpe and points west. An hour and a half later the excursion was on NS ex-LV rails in the Lehigh Gorge about 5 miles west of Jim Thorpe.

A few seconds later, the train passes my location near MP 125 in the Lehigh River Gorge en route to Pittston, PA.
The return train is shown near the same location at 4PM, just 20 minutes before the whole scene disappeared into shadows.
The last photo shows the entire train passing the empty ex-Lehigh Valley yard at Lehighton, PA at 6PM. The previous day this view was blocked by an outlawed NS freight.
