Tiempo de Ruth? (veintiseis- Fin!)
Author: BoilingMan

Ruth Time, I guess...
Well, we sure never saw this as even a remote possibility.  Just out of Ely, near Ruth NV, we spotted a suspicious puff of dark oily smoke out over the sage- No Way!!
Nevada Northern 93 out for a spin.  We rolled them by and then continued on out way home.  Wonder what that was all about?
SR

And this wraps up BoilingMan '09.  Both S_W and I will be retired next Summer and we're determined there be a BoilingMan '16.  It's my private shame I've not set foot in the San Juans in 6 years.
For shame

Looks like you were rewarded for all the great photos you've been posting here recently. Nice catch!

Giving a couple of ladies a ride. Almost looks like a woman at the throttle.-

Ha! Yeah, I thought the purse was a nice touch- not something you often see on a 2-8-0.
Maybe a Rent-a-Loco trip? Does NN do that? To Ruth?!

Yes, NNRY has a "Run-A-Locomotive" program where you can be the student engineer for an hour or so :)

My wife and I have both done the run a locomotive thing at Nevada Northern. It was hard to get the throttle back from her.
