Since oregonkramer "spilled the beans"

I will share some photos I took today..  This was the first time since I moved back to Portland that I have had time to get down to the ORHF "Square House"to work on the 4449.  I was a go-fer and then put Christmas Lights on the engine getting it ready for the "Holiday Express" trains.

I see the 49 has swapped places w the 700. Is there a reason for that other that ease of switching in adding the tender? In other words, does this spot in the house better suit the fire up for some reason?
Thanks for the pics!

Congratulations on the completion of the 4449!  And, beautiful  shop, floors that can be eaten off of!

Does the other side have a pit, but no table?  I've only been there a couple times and can't remember- and I can't quite make it out in this included photo of the 700.

Ha!  Okay- fair enough.  Maybe they used the 190 to spot the 49...

Hard to believe a 15 yr. rebuild was able to take place in such an open, clean place. I wish my house was half that clean! Great work folks, I look forward to getting up to PDX one of these days.

You all were very nice and went out of your way to find the right person to answer my question about the super heater when I was there. And yes the floor was clean, liked the souvenirs one fellow made out of the left over parts from the rebuild way to go.
