Steam & Excursion > PM 1225 on a Sunny Day after the StormDate: 11/22/15 14:39 PM 1225 on a Sunny Day after the Storm Author: jkh2cpu This week PM 1225 began the 2015 Christmas Season's runs between Owosso
and Ashley, MI. Yesterday was too stormy and nasty for me to make the 70 mile trek down to Owosso to see the action, but today was much better. I stopped at the Ruess Road crossing just outside of Owosso. The skies were clear, the temps just below freezing, and the wind was absent. A little after three PM I began to hear the whistle, and 10 minutes later the headlight came into view. Finally PM 1225 came blasting by. After I got my video, I hopped into the 2009 Escape and tried to get ahead of the train, but that was not to be. This is the fastest that I've seen him get to Ashley... He was there quite a bit before 4 PM. John. You must be a registered subscriber to watch videos. Join Today! Safe to assume the addition of the multiple cabeese ahead of the consist will not cost too much in lost sales to photoraphers. Looks like a fun event and ride. And experience trackside, regardless. Thanks for sharing! Looks like a few more cars? were painted up into PM /C&O livery? /Mitch Date: 11/23/15 01:24 Re: PM 1225 on a Sunny Day after the Storm Author: IC_2024 So glad to see the 1225 back running and in fine form, here... thanks for sharing!
I was on the Polar Express back in 2010 where she failed w/ a tube that gave out and had to be towed back into town... Was a somber time, indeed. Many thanks to all who got her steaming again and hope to ride behind her again, soon! Date: 11/23/15 04:01 Re: PM 1225 on a Sunny Day after the Storm Author: Labby Nice Job John! The old Robbins Furniture billboard used to say, "It's Worth The drive To Owosso!"

In the above linked gallery, the first 5 photos are from last weekend; #1225 in the snow on Saturday and in the brilliant sun on Sunday. Pere Marquette! Enjoy, Matthew |
