Steam & Excursion > Cumbres - The Return trip from Osier to Chama

The 2nd half of the Triple-Header Steam trip of October 24th, see 1st half on yesterday's thread.
On the return trip, they worked the train with Unit 489 on the head-end, and #484 set in 15 cars back, and ran like that to just east of Cumbres, where they broke up the train into 2 sections, with 484 bringing the first section down to Chama, and 489 bringing the 2nd section down. I decided to follow the 1st section down....you know.....1 bird in the hand, is better than 2 in the bush.....but both sections made it down to Chama in nice lighting.

Excellent photos.  A steam locomotive, however, is NEVER a "unit"!  :-)
