What ever happened to.....?
Author: jr3316

Back in April of 1985 I photographed this engine on flatcar(s) at Upton siding (just north of Mount Shasta City, CA).  Always meant to ask where it was going but never did.  Anyone know?

Rayonier #38 spent over 20 years at McCloud.  In 2006 we moved her to Merril, Oregon where she is today.  Here are current photos.

Very sad.   Some assembly will be required.

Haven't seen a 2-story GMC Astro in a LONG time.

I used to see that thing running the I-5 corridor back in the '80's. It belonged to an owner-operator with North American Van Lines IIRC...Them things are ugly.,..

.....never to be operated again in any of our life times. The collection in S. Oregon needs to be sold to groups who have the skills to put them back whole.

One can only hope.

I fear that one day when the owner passes, his entire collection will end up in the hands of a single new owner that will continue to do nothing with it.
