This was her very first public excursion: "The Great Event",
a round trip from San Francisco to Santa Clara and back,
pulling the CalTrain #918 F40PH, 10 CalTrain gallery cars,
the "Silver Lariat" (ex-CB&Q dome) and the SP "Oakland"
business car.

of my memories of the trip.
