Question about the narrow gauge geese
Author: whistlepig

I know they were for shuttle and the like but, what were their main duties?  And were they considered "trains" or specials of some sort?   Thanks in advance.,

They were a scheduled (good intent, rarely stuck to) passenger and LCL "train" which replaced
normally locomotive hauled passenger and baggage equipment. They ran the full length of the
RGS.

1 man crew vs 5 man crew and no locomotive maintenance. When you were as broke as the RGS was, it made a big difference.
