Steam & Excursion > AFT 40th, Family Fotos- 1

Some photos from the AFTers 40th BiAnnual get together.  (Yes, these things happen every 2yrs)
This one was probably the biggest yet, I guess because of the round number and the fact we had the '49 in attendance- a real treat!
Here are some faces & names you know- and some you don't:

Day One we went out for a spin.
Photo 1.  We're off- leaving the Museum headed to Oaks Park.  That's Doc Harvey, AFT Operations, standing on the bumper and displaying his trust in switch points.  Doyle is on the right cushion, Al Phillps is on the left side.
Photo 2.  I thought maybe Portlanders had grow used to seeing the 4449 out and about- but there seemed to be a fair amount of surprise and confusion along the way.
Photo 3.  I'm going to guess this is TO member 'broosem" shooting the video he posted yesterday.

Photo 4.  Back in the rear car:  On the far left Dale Wyant,  AFT Operations & TO member 'SP4360".  To the far right Mike Mangini and his wife Nancy.  Mike was a 4449 volunteer, but is more famous for leading the 2472's return to steam.
Photo 5.  Todd Schannuth & wife Linda.  Todd runs the AFT website that keeps the memories up-to-date.  Behind him is Tommy Alphabet,  AFT Operations & TO member "towzy" (I may have misspelled that)
Photo 6.  Laurie McCormack (Mom to us all) and Craig Thomas, 4449 Crew & TO member "SP3204".  That's my wife, Trish, in the background.

Very nice shot, all is forgiven... I'll take the free beer and two dogs though if you are feeling generous. Great shot of from left to right, Mike Mangini, Al Phillips, Bob Slover, Rich Croll, Steve Milward, and yours truely with the wave. Papa Al taught everyone in that picture a little of steam knowledge, he is a very patient man!

thanks for all the pictures....the bike rider taking pictures is Bruce Miller, the official photographer for the reunion and a 4449 volunteer.  you will also find his great pictures in the first ever Oregon Rail Heritage Foundation 2017 calendar.   Arlen
