RBM&N 425, Schuykill Haven Flyer
Author: tehachapi-dave

This past Saturday, Reading Blue Mountain & Northern 425 operated 70-minute round trips out of Schuykill Haven in conjuction with the town's annual "Borough Day."  We rode the 11:00AM trip and chased the other two.  Enjoy!

Man-o-man what a gutty deep exhaust from a fairly small pacific.  Just love it.

Great video. Sound quality is awesome.

Not afraid of some coal smoke in Port Clinton, although a blue locomotive........ They need to "Reading-ize" it a little. Higher headlight. Change the cab. And paint it black!

I am so glad they get it out and run it regularly.

About the coal smoke remember the train is running in anthracite coal country. Most people in the area understand coal makes jobs in Schuylkill County.

I was also surprised how many people at Boro Days were carry Trump signs home to put in there yards.  I saw no Hilary signs which I consider surprising as Schuylkill country is heavy democratic going way back to the coal union and the Molly McGuire's.

This is not a political statement just an observation of Saturday's festivities
