Steam & Excursion > 2016 Photographer's Weekend at the Sumpter ValleyDate: 10/18/16 19:53 2016 Photographer's Weekend at the Sumpter Valley Author: HeislerPower On October 15 and 16, the narrow-gauge Sumpter Valley Railroad presented the 16th Annual Photographer's Weekend. Both operable steam locomotives, Sumpter Valley Railway Mikado number 19 and W.H. Eccles Lumber Co. Heisler number 3, were in service as well as a fleet of historic rollingstock. The weather on Saturday was a bit on the wet side, though it improved dramatically on Sunday. We had a great group of photographers and volunteers and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves even when century old equipment decided to be slighly tempermental . Anyway, I was coordinating and conducting, so I didn't get to participate camera wise in all the runbys, but I did capture a few images.

when Martin Hansen has put on his photo charters there. Very nice folks there doing a very nice job of maintaining some very historic equipment.
