844 Memphis

Not much has been said regarding what is actually planned for 844's visit to Memphis for the Big River Crossing on Saturday. Can anyone shed some more light as to what they actually have planned?

Bike lane on UP Harahan Bridge opens Saturday. UP ran 844 to Memphis because of politics, Democrats support bike lanes across the country, 844 will run across the bridge east and then west when bike lane opens.  No public display announced as yet.

Maybe someone with some influence with Mr. Dickens could suggest he commence wearing a railroad appropriate hat and work on not leaning half way out the cab window while he's running?? Sure would add to the professional look of things.

Local TV news reader Joe Birch just did a ride-across video on the bike path (still under construction) on his bike, and never once mentioned 844.   Very odd, it's like they want it to be a surprise or something.

That would ding his ego, and that'd never do for the dear leader.
