Neat place, even without the steam.

They need to ship one of the Welsh Highland Garratts over for a run or two !!
They are, as I undestand, just under 2 foot gauge.

What is the back-to-back measurement of the 60cm (23 5/8") gage wheel?  I believe it is too tight to fit over the frog guard rails of a 24" gauge track switch. The Garratt would damage the guard rails by pushing them in or would ride up over the top of the guard rail. There is little wear allowance for back-to back measurement. There is one South African Garratt in Texas, and the owner is likely part of the WW&F but that is just a guess.

20 7/8" is the back to back distance for the WW&F as well as the J&L Narrow Gauge Railroad.
