Church's book "Cab Forward". I quickly breezed through my copy, but didn't see any references to "gray boiler" cab forwards, but that doesn't mean that the subject is not covered/referred to someplace in the book. And, IIRC, SP only painted cab roofs red on passenger power... meaning, it might explain the reason for an other-than-black boiler jacket... maybe. Walter Edited 2 time(s).
