Allegheny 2102 (Ex-RDG 2102) is eastbound on Conrail (Ex-EL) heading to Pennsylvania on April 30, 1977. As you can see this photowas taken through the window of the chase car. The location is unknown.

Ummmm.... that's not an Allegheny. Allegheny's were a 2-6-6-6 wheel configuration. Your picture is of a Reading T1 4-8-4 Northern.

​You are correct in that it is not an Allegheny; however the group that owned the former Reading 2102 at that time called themselves the Allegheny Company.  Thank goodness this fine locomotive has survived and is now owned by the Reading & Northern Railroad and Mr. Andy Muller.
