Stone Mountain Scenic RR, 1963
Author: MartyBernard

Roger Puta took these two slides in the Stone Mountain Georgia State Park on April 13, 1963. The locomotive is the General II. The coaches were ex-CNW commuter coaches. The Wikipedia entry for Stone Mountain is https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stone_Mountain

Enjoy,
Marty Bernard

Removal of historic symbols by the politically correct crowd results in erasing history.  Fortunately, some like Stone Mountain's carving wouldn't make it so easy. If you are so offended by something like that, don't go see it. End of story.

It's actually lime green. Wilbur Kurtz, at the time, seemed to think that the real General was painted as such during the Late Unpleasantness.
