Does the road follow the tracks here?  are there good photos opps?  what's the terrain?  Looking to chase 844 Wed

US30 is away from the tracks over this stretch -- there is maybe a spot or two where you would have an overlook as there are spots where the road is 1/2 to 1 mile away and above in elevation.  There is a dirt road that follows for a bit outside of Bennington (a bit north of Montpelier) -- look at a map and find Pescadero Road.  It is on the west side of the tracks, and hugs pretty tightly, and there are a few nice spots in that stretch.

From Soda Springs westward, paved roads hug the railroad most of the way to Pocatello.
