Steam & Excursion > 4501 - July 2, 1977Date: 04/23/17 11:25 4501 - July 2, 1977 Author: MaryMcPherson A week after making round trips to Mount Vernon, Illlinois, from the St. Louis area, Southern #4501 made a one-way run from East. St. Louis to Huntingburg, Indiana. This took the train through Princeton, Indiana, where #4501 was spotted in the dead line by officials of the Kentucky & Tennessee over thirty years before. These photos were scanned from the original 110 negatives and were taken by George Redmond of Centralia, Illinois.
#1 - The train makes a stop at Fairfield, Illinois. #2 - Mount Carmel, Illinois. #3 - The train has reached its destination at Huntingburg, Indiana.
