A Mexican Narrow Gauge Steam Train Runby
Author: MartyBernard

These are Roger Puta's photos.

NdeM narrow gauge freight train lead by 2-8-0 270 through San Lazaro Yards in Mexico City, D.F., Mexico on September 13, 1966.

Note: Roger's caption says she was a 2-6-0 but yesterday we said this group of locomotives were 2-8-0s. Could someone confirm that this is a 2-8-0. Anybody have a NdeM steam roster?

Enjoy,
Marty Bernard

According to George H. Drury, "Guide to North American Steam Locomotives," Nr. 270 was one of 28 Baldwin three foot guage G-30 Class 2-8-0s built in 1921 and 1924 and the class was retired from 1952 through 1969.

Nice stuff as usual. Incredible headlight to locomotive ratio.
