Steam & Excursion > Seeking photos of Deep Creek RR freight carsDate: 07/27/17 22:00 Seeking photos of Deep Creek RR freight cars Author: zephyrus Okay, here's a possibly impossible task.
In 14+ years of research of the Deep Creek Railroad that ran from Wendover to Gold Hill, Utah from 1916 to 1939, I have never seen a photo of any of the 2 (possibly 3) freight cars. Reportedly they had an ex-WP boxcar numbered Deep Creek 100 and an ex-WP water tank car numbered Deep Creek 501. Some accounts also list a company service / MW car, possible a flat car. Number unknown. Anyone out there might have photos of these elusive beasts? The boxcar was in use nearly the whole history of the railroad, so there must be a photo somewhere. Thanks in advance! Unfortunately I do not have a copy. You might try the California State Railroad Museum, Sacramento.

I checked CSRM a while ago, but thanks for the reminder. Something new may have turned up. Z |
