Between August 17th and September 7th, donors to Bring Back 757 will be entered to win a Throttle Time session on Nickel Plate Road steam locomotive no. 765!
The Mad River & NKP Railroad Museum is excited to partner with the Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society to offer donors the chance to run a mainline steam locomotive on Monday, September 18, 2017 at 6:00pm at the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad! Your donation can be made online at bringback757.org/donate or in person at the Mad River & NKP Museum at 233 York Street, Bellevue, Ohio.

Every $10 donated between August 17th, and September 7th, will give donors an opportunity to be drawn for this prize. The more you donate, the better chance you have to win. The lucky winner will be drawn and announced September 9th by 8PM.

The Throttle Time ticket is being donated by the Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society, Inc. (FWRHS), owners and operators of 765, a sister engine to the 757. “We are proud to support Mad River’s effort to return the 757 to Bellevue,” said Bill Otter, President of the FWRHS.

The winner will climb aboard restored steam locomotive no. 765 for a 30-minute Throttle Time session, where winners can blow the whistle and operate the locomotive at speeds up to 15MPH on a three-car train. 757 and all donations will go toward returning the 757 to Bellevue for permanent display at the Mad River & NKP Railroad Museum. Every donation of $10.00 or more will count as an entry, meaning each additional $10.00 increases your chance to win.

I did not know that Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania was giving up the 757.

The 757 is barely heavier than Rick's 0-4-0!

I'm glad that the Mad River has this opportunity to bring the 757 back to Bellevue where it belongs. Though not as big as some railroad museums, the Mad River and volunteers do a great job and have some nifty equipment. Chris Beamer is also a great guy to run this outfit.

I look forward to being there for the Wabash Railroad Historical Society Annual Meeting September 8-10 and making my donation to bring back the 757. Of course, the WRRHS is paying the museum for the opportunity to have our meet there. And we are also donating a little extra on top of that for the wonderful things its crew is doing for us including hosting our banquet meal in their dining car with their experienced diner car servers in the proper attire.
