It's amazing how the addition of such a "small" item as a plate can improve the looks of an engine. This one is a good case in point. Thanks for the photos, Ed.

Nice shooting Ed. Looks like you had a good time seeing steam. I was "warned" of the "changes" to the locomotive, so did not go out there yesterday. Sorry I didn't see you though.

Never saw a pic of her with a round plate, which of course would be better. Guilty as charged, I guess.

If that guy was up on the engine close to the whistle that would have been hard on his ears. I know of a real incident like that in which a fireman lost some of his hearing as a result of that.
