A Beautiful Scene With Steam Ruling The Valley Rails In 1955!
Author: LoggerHogger

SP #3629 looks right at home in Oregon's Willamette Valley as she heads up her train near Eugene in 1955. Railroading in Oregon has never looked so good since steam departed.

Thanks to California railfan W. Sievers, we still have this memory today.

Certainly a superb day for b&w photography with the texture in the foreground and in the clouds. Thanks for sharing!

Little did Thomas Newcomen realize when he developed the first "practical' steam engine back in the 18th Century that he would provide the forerunner for many wonderful steam locomotives for LoggerHogger
to post on Trainorders! Thanks Tom!
