Steam & Excursion > WP Steam #1 and more, courtesy Bob Larson/Jim BoyntonDate: 01/14/18 07:59 WP Steam #1 and more, courtesy Bob Larson/Jim Boynton Author: RailRat Just got new Photo Scanner, and presented here is some Black and White photos that WP/UP engineer and photographer Bob Larson gave to me in the 1990's. These were the first and foremost photos I thought of scanning with new scanner, even before archiving family photos. Pic #1 had no note on back, Pic#2 had note, as seen in pic #3.

Thanks for sharing these. Bob Date: 01/14/18 08:13 Re: WP Steam #1 and #2 courtesy Bob Larson and New Photo Scanner Author: RailRat Many of these WP Photos are from Jim Boynton, passed along to Robert Larson, and may be copies of originals? Bob gave me what he called "Throw Aways" but many are still treasures as far as I'm concerned. I'm assuming some photos with no notes on back may be taken by Bob Himself? Thank You Bob, What a Great Guy you are!..... Pic #4 is scan of letter from Bob to me mentions the Value Inn in Winnemucca, was the place UP crews stayed during layover in 1992....PIc 5 is WP #5, Pic #6 is Notes on Back of #5 ....And Just to Clarify things, my pest control route at the time, found me in Winnemucca at least once per month or per week at this time, cant remember now, But came in handy for a WP/railroad Fan at the time.

Pic of #162 and #165 is very curios, must be 0-6-0 configuration. But looks like #165 is at a strange angle.

I have been trying to figure out where Jim's negative collection went. Used to just be in awe leafing through his proof prints checking out what he had taken and collected. Some amazing stuff is / was in that collection.
