February 10, 2018 Work extra 93 stopped at junction switch and provided an opportunity to get off with the brakeman. The train then proceeded forward into the yard, leaving me there in awe of such a grand scene. Now and then, the sun will grant us an extraordinary and brief display of light, that turns everything it touches into gold. That is what happened here. It was brief, but it did get captured by the camera. The train headed home, past the iconic shapes of the coaling tower and the water tower, leaving no doubt where we were. We were at the end of another fine day on the Nevada Northern Railway at East Ely Yard. Thank you Mark!
