It signals the arrival of not only melting snow but also of annual training and recertification for service on my favorite tourist railroad, the North Shore Scenic Railroad in Duluth, MN. And, for the next 3 Saturdays, also.

Followed by a full day each of classes (one each week), refresher and testing, on (1) Air Brakes and train handling, (2) USOR operating rules, (3) GCOR (BNSF) operating rules.

All this, for our 26 mile long railroad!
