SLSF Sunday-The Sunnyland
Author: Frisco1522

Bill Barham caught the Sunnyland rushing through Lindenwood, (St Louis) yards on a nicely lit morning heading for the River Division and Memphis. Two main tracks through the yards and signaled all the way from Union Station, so they weren't restricted leaving town. 1051 is one of the 1040-1059 class that were modernized with Delta truck and higher drivers.

Great looking photo and look how clean the locomotive and passenger equipment appears to be. I sure wish I had a Frisco number plate in my collection!! Thanks for posting!

Just another confirmation of the fact that the Frisco had incredibly handsome steam locomotives.

Beauty shot. Frisco certainly had a class operation of equipment.

When I came UP the river division running 1522, I made a lot of whistle noise across from Grand Tower. I had relatives living there.
