Steam & Excursion > BR&W photo freight on 9/16

Last Sunday, the Black River & Western ran a mixed freight from their home base in Ringoes (NJ) south along the recently opened track to their Bowne station and back to Ringoes.  This train featured two photo runby locations.  That train sold out and a second train, running from Ringoes to Flemington to Bowne station and back to Ringoes.  This is part of the work being done by the Black RiverRailroad Historical Trust and their efforts to reopen the ex-PRR line from Ringoes to Lambertville.  I rode the first train and photographed the second one.   Onto the photos:

1.  The second runby at the first location, which was between Ringoes and Bowne station
2.  The consist backing up so the passengers can get back on the train.  A lot of younger railfans (including females) are getting involved

I like the video run at Boss Road.  Thanks for riding and supporting the BR&W Trust.  I live a couple of miles from Ringoes and there is nothing better than hearing the whistle when I am out working in the yard!!  The Trust has been doing a great job and glad to see that a couple of Scott K's PRR freight cars got some use!!

Good stuff.   thanks much for sharing.   The 60 sure sounded good with a little bark in video #1.
