I got in trouble for the first one. I stepped inside the threshold to ask for a ladder and got chased out by the shop foreman! But I guess they weren't too upset- they gave me a ladder to get this shot (I wanted to be level with the number plate)
The 497 (3rd photo) is in the older original part of the roundhouse- pretty much "kicked to the curb" these days. At least she's out of the weather.

Sad seeing the 497 sitting there all cold and dead, loved watching it run not that many years ago.
The shots do lend themselves to B&W, funny how that building is busier than in Rio Grande days.
