No. 25 returns to the McCloud??
Author: jbwest

I have visited the former McCloud 25 at the Oregon Scenic twice now, and am slowly getting used to its new environment.  Fortunately the OCSR is exactly as described, a very scenic line along the Oregon Coast (the west end of the former SP Tillamook branch).  That makes the getting used to much easier.  There are a bunch of scenic locations over the rivers, sloughs, and along the coast.  But on my last trip I was even able to get a couple of pix that almost reminded me of the McCloud.  The first is kind of like the highway crossing at Bartle, and the second is just 25 and steam.  The third....well....that is pure OCSR and just for fun.

While it is certainly a change in scenery, it is good she is still working hard and putting on a good show!

Let me add a gold foil star to Bob's A+

Great shots, John.  I like that you were able to put  McCloud No. 25 back
in McCloud so to speak - nice before shot from Martin to contrast it.

Up close and personal, literally, another great shot.  And the dock - sweet!
I can not tell (or won't, lol) tell you how many runbys I missed trying to
capture a similar scene with birds that flew away, or mostly, really didn't
fit the composition.  Mostly - which to focus on - the bird, the train or both?

Always have a couple of fish in your camera bag. The birds thought I was a fisherman and they were waiting patiently for a handout.  The closer I got to them the more expectant they got.  Thanks for the kind words.

Well, you got the bird part down pat, now to to find a train.....and put it all into one of those killer pan shots of yours.
