So is it the 844 or the 4014 or both?  ... pretty nebulous comment given
that the 4014 has not yet been seen out of dry dock ...

Laramie is bragging about a big boy  visit, either way it will be steamy, a lot to still do, with an ambitious time line.  Like a fine wine it may not be done in time, no big deal to me, wish the  crew the best , 7 day work weeks are grueling, but they are planning on it being done.

Yes I’m planning on the Cheyenne-Ogden corridor in early May. IF the Big Boy runs, THEN every railfan on the planet will be trying to find a way to get there. BSB

It won't be the first time that Wyoming has had a zoo of railfans tripping all over each other to get photos. I remember our first doubleheader in 1981 to California. Donner Pass was even worse.

And if you think Wyoming will be bad wait til the entourage enters Utah with Echo and Weber Canyons.

The Wyoming Law Enforcement Community (all caps, all hands on deck) will have things well in hand just
like they did in '81.

I will thoroughly enjoy video coverage and photos of this event while staying away from the surging crowds surrounding every fine location to view this event on what ever dates it happens.

If and when that happens, that also will be a complete zoo.

I hope you are aware that Logan isn't very close to the route of the movement.

But Logan is close to Promontory for the event on May 10. Both Logan and Promontory are not too close to where the current tracks are at Ogden, but the main event for May 10 is the little piece of track at Promontory, not whatever is on display in Ogden. === === = === JLH

I can just see those railfans shooting videos and telling everyone, especially the daisy pickers to "shut the f*** up". LOL I remember that when the 4449 visited Michigan.
