Steam & Excursion > FWRHS - IT flatcarDate: 01/12/19 18:27 FWRHS - IT flatcar Author: NKP779 FWRHS, owners and operators of NKP 765, has owned a former Illinois Terminal flatcar for 20+ years. It was acquired along with the former Virginian Rwy 200 ton wrecker, B-19. This winter it is being rehabbed and getting a new wood deck. One thing that had disappeared is the paint on the car - faded beyond any recognition. The only clue as to its identity is the remains of an ACI sign. There is a series of numbers which I hope correlates with its road number. "3-4-1-1" followed by two blank bars, a "4", followed by one blank bar, and "3". Would somebody please check an old Official Railway Equipment Register to see what flat car series the IT rostered? We'll get a measuring tape out but it looks to be a 60 or 66 footer length.

Try using this reference guide, might help you translate the plate: http://www.icrr.net/aci.htm Date: 01/13/19 08:26 Re: FWRHS - IT flatcar Author: PHall PatternOfFailure Wrote:

It's just an explanation of what ACI was but has no way to help translate. Date: 01/13/19 10:10 Re: FWRHS - IT flatcar Author: PatternOfFailure PHall Wrote:

Explaining what each line on the plate represented and showing what number each bar code represent in no way helps translate? Okay. Off course it will best be located directly behind the tender to provide for more discussion material on the forums.
Date: 01/13/19 15:36 Re: FWRHS - IT flatcar Author: Gene_s The KarTrak label should have 13 multicolored bars. Skip the first bar.
Bars 2-5 are the reporting marks. For ITC it should read 0354. Bar 6-12 are the cars road number Bar 13 is a check digit Hope that helps Gene Date: 01/13/19 18:45 Re: FWRHS - IT flatcar Author: kevink NKP779:
