Steam & Excursion > May 1977Date: 01/17/19 10:52 May 1977 Author: scoopdejour Digging through my photo storage, I came upon this "Norman Rockwell". Here I am qualified mainline fireman, apprentice engineer, and Hanky-the-Hostler calming the savage beast #2101 on a Chessie Steam Special trip from Baltimore to Gettysburg on Sunday May 25th 1977. Seems like only yesterday. Lucky i can remember yesterday. Both photos are from my collection but photographers unknown; my portrait location is Gettysbug, 2101 location unknown but looks like Harve de Grace??
Respectfully, Scoop Date: 01/17/19 11:07 Re: May 1977 Author: ClubCar The photo of 2101 was taken on the Potomac River Bridge of the former B&O Railroad at Harper's Ferry, West Virginia.

Scoop Date: 01/17/19 14:09 Re: May 1977 Author: Tominde Hank did you roll in the coal pile before Norman Rockwell painted that picture. Should be on the cover of Saturday Evening Post. Good stuff. Enjoy you little stories.
