AFT - 1976
Author: spdaylight

Sorry for the quality of the photo . . I was shooting super 8 film with stereo sound  when the AFT came through the mountains in Washington state but had a unique camera called a Wide Lux which took panoramic shots with a turreted lens . . but what puzzles me here is that my film has many locations with snow on the ground . . not sure where this photo was taken . . any assistance would be appreciated.

The AFT traveled from Spokane to Seattle on Oct 30, 1975.  I guess it had already started the shift from fall to winter.

This was before my time with the AFT.  I applied for a job on the train 2 months later in Santa Barbara and was hired about 2 weeks after that.

Cashmere WA near Wenatchee is my guess.

That would make sense with the changing colours in the trees . . the film clips don't show a lot of snow  . .  most of it melting.  Will have to edit a few and post in the future.

Exactly. Westbound on Scenic Sub, precisely two tenths of a mile east of the east switch to the siding at Cashmere Washington.
