Today we go to country No. 3. Austria. As you can see, this photo features two types of steam....train and boat. Steam and Loco Safaris operated by my friend David Rodgers of the U.K. arranged this unique opportunity on their tour to Germany, Czech Republic and Austria in October, 2007. We photographed our charter trains from on board the paddle steamer Schonbrunn in the morning. The afternoon session was done buy bus, taking photos from the shore of the Danube near the small town of Grein.  Most of us thought this wouldn't come off as planned, trying to get both the boat and train running parallel. But the ships Captain pulled it off with ease. The Schonbrunn idled in the river, waited for our train, and then with a whistle blast and lots of smoke, started moving just as the train approached.  My video with all the smoke, noise and motion captured the occasion even better.
