UP Steam Crew, 2nd Engineer Ted Schulte seriously injured.

Sad news concerning the UP Steam Crew. Late last week, while returning home to Colorado, from Cheyenne, Fireman, and 2nd Engineer, Ted Schulte, was reportedly seriously injured in a multi-car crash on Interstate 25, when the "big storm" hit. Reportedly he was taken to a nearby hospital by ambulance, with serious back injuries.

Paging Steve Lee, Paging Jack Whelihan. Seriously that's not very good news and certainly hope he makes a full
recovery. Don't think Ed's bench is very deep.

I feel for him.  My partner had open spinal surgery last month after a couple of years of worsening problems.  It's terrible!

Great! From what I heard it was a broken back, among other injuries.

Ted was an excellent fireman from watching the clean stack he ran. The Bomb Cyclone caught a lot of residents by surprise and those commuting really had a hard trip. I wish him all the best care and a quick recovery.
