Anybody care to post the videos from that historic event? Date: 04/15/19 16:20 Re: A Day that will be remembered Author: EmpireBuilder I seem to remember a video of it. What a sickening sound.

I’ve seen the video of 844 overshooting the stopping point, but have not seen the drivers actually sliding. Date: 04/16/19 04:30 Re: A Day that will be remembered Author: HotWater coach Wrote:

Are they considered defects?

The Mechanical Crew did some grinding on the "edges" of the flat spots, in order for the locomotive to be moved, at slow speed, to a suitable facility with a drop table large enough to drop 80" diameter wheels. This is the UP steam qualified checklist the UP has to determine if your steam qualified: ** Note if you answer NO to any of the questions then you are NOT steam qualified on the UP..... 1. Do you have a FRA class 1 engineer's license? 2. Are you rules (GCOR) certified and have completed the tests? 3. Are you Special Ed Dickens? Take the test to see if you are qualified or not.... What a blank show.....
A day that will definitely be remembered, I remember all the excuses that came along with it. The UP1982 was defective, the MU control box was defective etc etc etc..... CS Date: 04/17/19 07:16 Re: A Day that will be remembered Author: EmpireBuilder The demise of the step car will be along shortly.
