Ok this might turn into more than a couple.  Had a good time today, even with some crazy situations in traffic.  First couple are from Castle Rock in Utah.   Not in order

I was at Castle Rock today. Excellent photos too.

A 844 at Evanston.  Ed talking to someone from the cab.  Jupiter and 119 from the Experience the UP Car

When 4449 runs, its extra water tank car ususally matches in paint.  Same for NS 611, and when 1218 ran.  But UP seems to insist on the garish yellow for the extra water tanks, instead of just painting them black so they blend in with the other tender.  Seems like a no brainer to paint them black...

Armour yellow matches the passenger equipment these engines usually pull.  They can either match the locomotives or match the trailing cars.

The last service these tenders performed before being saved and put into the steam program were their use in turbines as fuel tenders in the yellow scheme as well.

Great that "Big Boy" actually got out on the "high iron" and made it's mark these past
few days.  The crews that produced the labor and Union Pacific that produced the
money are a winning combination.  As for the tender that is yellow, well, that is a
small issue that isn't worth complaining about.  If one wants to see a perfect
combination go to a museum where they are cold and going nowhere.

The only time they stand out is when the occasional doubleheader is run, which is the exception to the rule.
