Steam & Excursion > Georgetown Loop 40 and 111 together againDate: 07/04/19 09:27 Georgetown Loop 40 and 111 together again Author: elueck From the Georgetown Loop Facebook page:
Back Together Again!Today is a very special day at the Georgetown Loop Railroad. The #40 was out exercising after an extensive rebuild and joined its sister engine, #111, at Devil's Gate Station. Not since the 1960's have the two locomotives operated together. The President and owner of Historic Rail Adventures (operator of the Loop Railroad and owner of the #40) would like to extend his deepest gratitude to the incredibly hard working team that labored with such skill and dedication over the past two years rebuilding the locomotive. Our most sincere appreciation also goes to our great friends who operated the Loop Railroad for the first 30 years and who have been so supportive at every turn, including selling us their treasured locomotive #40. Thank you all!Happy 4th of July everyone! Date: 07/04/19 15:10 Re: Georgetown Loop 40 and 111 together again Author: sixbit Great looking pair of lokies and the scenery isn't bad either. Thanks for posting! (The Russian judge gave you a 10 ; )
